If you’re looking for a reliable source of information about earning or completing an online degree you’ve found it.  Unlike most websites likely to turn up in search results for online education and degrees this one was created by me – an online degree graduate.  The idea to create this site was born out of my concern over the lack of truly meaningful and honest information available to somebody wanting to earn a degree online versus what they’re likely to find.

Life is full of provocative questions.  Why are we here?  What happens when we pass away?  What is the meaning of life?  These are few that immediately come to mind that have been pondered by some of the greatest thinkers throughout modern and past history.  One question we rarely consider, yet have direct control over is – “Where or how do you choose to invest your time?” 

What is interesting in our lifetimes as young people we all believe time is a broad ocean with the other shore of old age a distant location that we’ll never see.  In middle age, an interesting event happens when you arrive at a sweet spot between youth and growing old when you reflect on how fast the years you once thought were limitless in your youth have so quickly passed.  Later as you pass into the last stages of life, time feels as if it’s borrowed more than owned.  It’s during this final stage when we often tend to reflect back on how we invested that life’s worth of time.

One question many people wonder about when considering an online degree education is what types of online degrees can you earn? The answer is the variety available of online degrees is almost as broad as the needs of most students exploring them as a means of earning one. With the exception of some areas of study requiring access to specialized equipment, or are lab intensive as a few examples might be tougher to find online degrees in those types of areas for the moment.

Understanding that exception, the great news is the wide array of degrees available is very good and always improving.

Life is full of challenges.  They start the day we enter this world until the day we leave it.  Do you remember how you learned to walk; probably not, but I’m sure your Mom or maybe your Grandmother can share with you how you overcame that challenge though.

The irony is most people look to avoid a good number of life’s challenges instead desiring an easier path.  What’s lost on those among this group is these challenges in life we face and overcome are the moments that define us and create the individuals we become.

Earning an online degree will become and be remembered as one of the most challenging events of your life.  That’s not a bad thing, but rather an opportunity to prove you’re greater than the obstacles before you allowing you to rise above it and achieve your dream of an online degree education.

Simple – You Get HELP!

You’ve selected from the many online degree universities the one that is just right for you offering a variety of online degrees to select from, enrolled in your first of many online degree college courses, and are making great progress.  Suddenly, you find yourself in a class which is proving more challenging than you’d thought.  This is the exact scenario I faced when taking Corporate Finance from Oklahoma University.  It’s also one you’re likely to face as well as you start pursuing a degree online.

One of the shortcomings of online degree education can be support for students having troubles like these.  Attempting to learn via email an advanced concept is challenging to say the least.  In my own case, I eventually sought additional help outside the University.

Of the courses most people will have trouble with if taken via an online degree college course is math.  This is any of the math online degree education courses.  In the U.S. being illiterate is unacceptable and we have numerous programs to teach people the basic skill of reading.  By contrast, being illiterate in math seems more acceptable.  How often have you been a part of, or overheard a conversation that turns to the subject of math with all parties involved giggling nervously that collectively none of them are good with numbers?

It’s sad.

As I tell my son all the time…math is a universal language.

Say what?

That is right.  It’s the only language shared by all people of the world.  You can write 1+1=2 anywhere in the world and the person you don’t share the same language with will understand it.  Further, every single thing in your world has been influenced or created using some form of math.
