One of the most searched for topics for when seeking information about distance education is online degree programs accredited.  The term is valid but do those people searching the topic really understand the importance and more importantly are the results provided on the net accurate and truthful?

Let me speak briefly on the importance of the topic.  Nothing is more important than an online degree college, online degree program, or online degree universities being fully accredited.  This is the end of the story.  There is no comprising here.  Pursuing a degree from any online program that isn’t fully accredited is at the risk of the consumer being you and it’s “buyer beware” in the age of the internet delivered online degree education.

In short, with very little effort anybody can build or pay to have a built a professional looking “online college” website.  Taking this a step further, this same person or group, could build a second website proclaiming to be some legitimate, most likely global, education accreditation body assuring you the first online college website they own is fully accredited.

With a bit of effort, these websites are pushed up the search engine ranking until you the consumer find it on page and decide it’s the one for you.  After enrolling and maybe spending some money you discover the website is closed, your money is gone, and the people who built it have moved on.
