Buyers beware! I’ve said it. You’ve heard it a thousand times over the years from when you were a kid to the present. Nowhere is that saying more appropriate than in the crowded world of internet based education. The websites are slick and the temptation is great – “Earn a fully accredited degree for life experience!” “Get your degree in a few days – guaranteed!” Amazingly most people reading this would say, “I’d never fall for that type of scam!”

Yet, the proliferation of these sites all over the web continue to prove us all wrong and I guarantee a few of you have checked one or two out just to learn more.

Who can blame somebody for wanting to earn an online degree fast? There were times I’d wished my own online education had been faster and even easier at times. In retrospect, I’m glad it wasn’t and happy to have proven I could overcome the numerous challenges. I’m better for having done so. You will be too.

I’ve spoken about and shared my thoughts around earning an online degree fast on several occasions. Most of my ideas about focusing on how long it takes to earn a degree as fast as one is capable should be among the least of the worries of a distance student. Rather, my recommendation is to focus on earning a degree you want and performing the best that you can in doing so.

Ultimately, earning an online degree will take the time it requires to finish. However, for those speed obsessed individuals that need to earn a distance degree as quickly as possible there is a few ways to do this.

Today you can access information about anything instantly sitting in the comfort of your home simply by typing in the topic to the search engine of your choice.  Trains around the world can hurl passengers from point A to point B exceeding 200 miles per hour.  If you have the financial means a jet could carry you around the world over a few days or less if you’re not particularly prone to jet lag.

So what’s wrong with earning an online degree fast?  After all, everything else in the world is speeding up so why should I expect instant gratification by getting an online degree sooner rather that later?

A perfectly acceptable question, but the answer holds the truth.
